Dares
I live in the Bible Belt.
I am surrounded by people who say they are Christians.
But somewhere along the way, the word has become familiar…
and the fruit has become optional.
So I created The Dares.
Not to condemn.
Not to accuse.
But to invite you into something real.
Because Jesus said:
“You will know a tree by its fruit.”
Not by what it says.
Not by what it posts.
Not by what it claims.
By what it produces.
Love.
Joy.
Peace.
Patience.
Gentleness.
Kindness.
Goodness.
Faithfulness.
Self-control.
A healthy tree does not strain to bear fruit.
It does not perform.
It does not pretend.
It produces—because it is rooted in the right soil.
I dare you to ask yourself:
What is my life actually producing?
Not what do I believe…
but what do I manifest?
We were never meant to live disconnected from the very thing that gives us life.
The Word is not optional.
It is not a supplement.
It is nourishment.
And yet, it still surprises me how many who call themselves Christians
do not even open it daily.
So I dare you…
I dare you to return to the source.
I dare you to feed on what actually transforms you.
These dares are not about information.
They are about exposure.
They are about bringing your life close enough to the fire
that what is false cannot remain.
Scripture says:
“Our God is a consuming fire.”
Not a comfortable fire.
Not a distant fire.
A consuming one.
I dare you to come closer to that fire.
I dare you to stop managing appearances
and start confronting reality.
I dare you to let it reveal:
- where there is impatience
- where there is unkindness
- where there is pride
- where there is fear
- where there is lack of self-control
Not so you can feel shame…
but so you can be transformed.
Because gold is not formed without heat.
And what is impure does not leave
until it is brought into the fire.
I dare you to take the mask off.
I dare you to stop calling patterns “personality”
that are actually keeping you bound.
I dare you to look at your daily habits—honestly.
Because your habits are not random.
They are revealing what is ruling.
And I dare you to ask the question most people avoid:
Am I truly walking with God…
or have I just learned how to sound like I am?
The beautiful truth is this:
If the fruit is not good…
it can change.
Not by striving harder.
Not by pretending better.
But by returning to the root.
By tending the soil.
By removing what chokes life.
By staying in His presence long enough
for something real to grow.
So I dare you…
I dare you to step out of the crowd.
I dare you to come up the mountain.
I dare you to let your life be examined—
not by others first…
but by God.
Because at the end of all of this,
what matters is not what we claimed to be—
but what we became.
If you’re ready… I’ll meet you there.
