Dare 1
I dare you to get past all the fluff—what I half-jokingly call “Chreeeeeestian-ism.” I dare you to move toward something far more uncomfortable… and far more real.
I dare you to become Aware.
At the core of who you truly are is a spark of divinity placed there by God Himself. But I dare you to admit that over time, you’ve layered it with defenses, coping mechanisms, and personality traits that you’ve mistakenly called “self.”
Transformation doesn’t begin with more information. I dare you to move from intellectually knowing the truth to actually living your truth, moment to moment.
So here is my dare for you today: The next time you are “squeezed”—when you are disrespected, misunderstood, or triggered—I dare you to look at what comes out of you. Is it anger? Fear? Pride? Avoidance?
I dare you to ask: “What am I afraid for others to see about me?”
Most of us live mechanically, reacting from patterns we’ve never stopped to question. I dare you to catch yourself in the act. No judgment. No excuses. Just observe.
This part isn’t comfortable. Awareness might bring embarrassment or even shame. Everything in you will want to distract, shut down, or justify your behavior. But I dare you to stay present. I dare you to stay in the discomfort. Because if you do, something powerful happens: the old patterns begin to fall away, and who you really are starts to rise.
I am asking God for you to have the courage to go on this journey with me. If you’re ready to peel back the layers and trust Him for the guidance to become a better person, comment below, or reach out to me, and let me know you are walking with me!
