Dare 2

I dare you to take the Scripture seriously when it tells us to “examine ourselves” and “test ourselves.” I dare you to realize that this isn’t about finding reasons to condemn yourself—it’s about having the courage to finally become aware.

Most of us only pray after we’ve reacted. We pray after the sharp word is spoken, after the shutdown, or after the resentment has already taken root. But I dare you to invite God into the moment BEFORE the reaction takes place.

I dare you to understand the radical difference between self-improvement and spiritual transformation. Self-improvement says: “Fix me.” But a real relationship with God says: “Reveal me.”

I dare you to try this practice with me: When you feel your chest tightening… When you feel offended, afraid, or defensive… When every part of your ego is tempted to explain yourself instead of examine yourself… I dare you to pause and pray: “Lord, help me see what YOU see in me right now.”

I dare you to look at yourself without shame and without excuses. Just pure honesty.

At first, this awareness is going to be uncomfortable. You’re going to notice things you’d rather avoid. But I dare you to stay present. Don’t distract yourself. Don’t shut down. Because if you stay, awareness expands, and that is exactly where God meets you.

I dare you to believe that this kind of examination doesn’t lead to condemnation—it leads to communion.

Over time, when you live in this Light, the old patterns don’t need to be forced away… they simply fall off.

I dare you to examine yourself in the faith with me—one moment at a time.

Leave a comment at the bottom. I’m not asking for the credit of a “like”; I’m asking so I know who is actually on this mountain with me. I am praying for you, and I need you to pray for me. This is not an easy journey. We know the “crowds” are content to stay at the bottom of the mountain—but I dare you to be the one who climbs with Yeshua and Moses.

Let’s leave the crowd behind. I’ll see you at the top.
