Dare 23

Today, stand in front of the mirror and speak life instead of criticism.
“This body is not my enemy.
It is my vessel of transformation.”

So many of us fight ourselves daily — our reflection, our age, our imperfections.
But Scripture says something different.

Ephesians 5:29 tells us,
“No one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it…”
That word cherishes means to warm, to tenderly care for, to protect like something sacred.

God never designed you to be at war with your own body.
He designed you to nourish it.
To care for it.
To honor it.

Your body has carried you through storms, sleepless nights, victories, heartbreak, and miracles you barely noticed.
It has absorbed stress you didn’t know how to process.
It has healed wounds you forgot you had.

When we criticize the body, we slow healing.
When we nourish and cherish it, as Scripture instructs, restoration accelerates.

Bless the vessel.
Honor the flesh.
Warm what you once judged.

Speak life over yourself today.
Peace follows honor.
