Dare 25
Stay When You Want to Escape
Today, notice the moment you feel the urge to check out.
Not leave the room —
but leave the feeling.
The tension.
The discomfort.
The exposure.
We all do it.
We scroll.
We explain.
We justify.
We distract.
But growth rarely happens where we escape.
It happens where we remain.
Scripture says,
“He who endures to the end shall be saved.” — Matthew 24:13
Endure doesn’t mean strive harder.
It means stay.
Stay when the emotion rises.
Stay when you feel misunderstood.
Stay when your pride feels exposed.
Stay when you want relief more than revelation.
Discomfort isn’t punishment.
It’s formation.
The places you’ve been avoiding
are often the very places God is shaping you.
Escape delays formation.
Staying builds it.
So today, instead of reaching for relief,
reach for presence.
You might be surprised
how strong you actually are
when you don’t run
