Choose Meekness Over Control
Scripture
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” — Matthew 5:5
Meekness is not weakness.
It is power HARNESSED under control.
Think Uranium harnessed to produce beneficial electricity.
Fear clutches.
Meekness releases.
Fear tries to dominate the moment.
Meekness trusts God within it.
When we live in fear, we operate from alarm.
We brace.
We tighten.
We try to control outcomes, conversations, timelines, and people.
But that constant internal gripping exhausts us.
It burns energy that was meant for strength.
Meekness is the surrender of self-power.
It is saying:
“Father, You are in control. I don’t have to be.”
That surrender does not make you smaller.
It makes you steady.
Unharnessed power explodes.
Harnessed power sustains.
Meekness is strength that has learned restraint.
It is confidence without aggression.
Authority without domination.
And when fear loosens its grip, love rises.
“Perfect love casts out fear.” — 1 John 4:18
Love stabilizes what fear agitates.
Love restores what panic drains.
Love steadies the heart.
This is how the meek inherit the earth —
not by overpowering it,
but by remaining grounded in it.
