Dare 31

Allow Silence to Search You
Today, don’t fill the space.
Don’t ask.
Don’t explain.
Don’t perform.
Just sit quietly before Him.
Not to get answers.
Not to feel something.
Not to prove devotion.
Just… be still.

“The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.”
— Habakkuk 2:20

Most of us approach God with words.
Requests.
Confessions.
Explanations.
Questions.
But sometimes the deepest transformation happens when we stop speaking.
Silence is uncomfortable at first.
It exposes restlessness.
It reveals distraction.
It gently uncovers the motives we didn’t realize were there.
Hidden pride.
Subtle fear.
Unnoticed striving.
But this isn’t harsh.
It’s gentle.
Silence doesn’t attack.
It reveals.

When we allow quiet to search us, what has been buried begins to surface — not to shame us, but to free us.
Noise protects the mask.
Silence removes it.
So today, dare to sit.
Dare to let Him look.
Dare to let what’s hidden rise without force.
Silence reveals what noise conceals.
One surrendered moment at a time.
